BIRDS’ nests, chicks, flowers and the colours of spring adorned the hats of dozens of youngsters who celebrated Easter with a tea party.

Almost 180 pupils at Leesland Infants in Gosport created stunning hats for their end of term party, where they tucked into tea, coffee and cake with parents.

Also at the event were people from a range of services including the Submarine Museum and Discovery Centre, who gave families top tips on how they could spend their holidays.

Headteacher Jane McDowell said: ‘It’s wonderful to see each and every one of the children’s fantastic creations that they made at home with their families.

‘They all looked fabulous!’
