MEMBERS of the public can see a range of dynamic artworks created by talented college students.

Highbury College is opening its doors to people wishing to see collages, scupltures, paintings and much more at its 2011 Art and Design show.

Among the exhibitors is John Gent, 19, who will show a series of sculptures based on interlocking geometric forms.

He said: ‘My modular sculptures give endless possibilities.

‘The four interlocking triangular forms represent the four corners of the globe while the negative central square becomes a portal to new possibilities and new worlds.

‘It’s early days but I’m serious about my future as a sculptor and I’m preparing a proposal for Portsmouth City Council regarding commissioning these works.’

The exhibition at Highbury College’s Cosham site runs from June 27 until July 1, between 10am and 4pm.
