TWO stunning musical productions featuring thousands of children will be taking place this week.

Tonight at 6pm, the Kings Theatre in Southsea will come alive with hundreds of young voices.

The Infant Voices Showcase will feature 500 children, aged between six and seven, who will be coming together to sing about recycling and making our planet a better place.

Tomorrow at 6.30pm, at Portsmouth Guildhall, more than 400 children will perform the world premiere of Timescape, a musical journey through history.

Sue Beckett, director of Portsmouth Music Hub, said: ‘Over the space of two days hundreds of children and young people will bring their own particular brand of musical magic to Portsmouth.

‘With weeks of rehearsals behind them we want everyone, old and young, to come along and support the enthusiasm, ambition and dedication of the young people of Portsmouth.’

Tickets available at the Kings and Guildhall.
