THERE were smiles all round as pre-school children got to meet Father Christmas.

A Christmas party was held for children of Fareham Opportunity Group Pre-school at St John’s Church Hall, on St Michael’s Grove.

The pre-school is a not-for-profit organisation which meets daily at Wallisdean Infant School.

Julie Mead, business coordinator at the group, said: ‘We took them to St John’s Church where we had a Christingle service and they sang Christmas carols. Then we went to the church hall and did activities, games and they met Father Christmas. They loved it and had their photo taken with him.’

The party was raising funds for the group, and a raffle was held with local businesses donating prizes. Domino’s pizza contributed half of the money for the food and are bringing pizzas to the group today for the staff’s last day before Christmas.
