During the week, students were taught the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and they practised different sports such as javelin throwing and football.

Headteacher Kate Keller said: ‘We talked about sport personalities and what they do to be successful. They have to persevere. We are trying to instil that in the children. If you want to be good at something you have to practise.

‘It’s not overnight success.’
