GIRLS got together to learn different languages.

Portsmouth High School invited girls from Cottage Grove Primary and Highbury Primary to join them in experiencing the sights and sounds of different languages across the world before presenting to parents in a final assembly.

They learnt French, Latin, Spanish and Cantonese and read The Hungry Caterpillar in French.

Paul Marshallsay, headteacher of Portsmouth High Juniors, said: ‘Language is one the of the core skills that girls are going to need in the future and it has been great to welcome girls from other schools to share in the day.’
