A star-studded event will be held to raise funds for brand new windows at an historic school building.

Parents of Rookesbury Park School in Wickham will be taking over the rooms at the listed Georgian manor house on March 26 for an evening of dining, dancing and entertainment.

Guests will be treated to a cocktail reception, three-course meal and exclusive fashion show featuring stores such as Preview Boutique in Southsea and Savoy Tailor’s Guild in Gunwharf.

The event has already attracted Sky News anchor-woman and presenter Phillppa Hall and footballer James Beattie.

Allison Hampshire, organiser, said: ‘We have incredible prizes to help raise money during the evening that have been donated by the likes of Formula One racing.

‘Rookesbury has the running costs of any school but, being such an historic building, it does need that extra amount of upkeep and repair.’

The fundraising event will cost £50 a head.
