PARENTS are being invited to a meeting to discuss the issue of schools becoming academies.

The meeting, run by unions Unison and NASUWT, will talk about how academy schools could have a negative impact on a child’s education.

Schools such as Priory in Southsea have recently announced plans to convert.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in the Menuhin Room at Portsmouth Central Library in Guildhall Square.
