ARE you retired but still nursing a thirst for knowledge?

Why not join others who still like to learn at a new branch of the University of the Third Age in Havant?

There are monthly meetings on all subjects – from history, art, languages, creative writing, Scrabble and quilting.

Judith Worley, from Bedhampton, takes Spanish classes in the Emsworth U3A and is setting up the group.

She said: ‘We gain so much from U3A. By the time people retire they have lots of knowledge and skills to share with each other.

‘I so enjoy finding people with common interests and doing creative and challenging things with them.’

The meetings are informal and usually in each other’s houses.

There are no exams, just pure learning for enjoyment.

An annual subscription of between £14 and £20 covers all costs.

To find out more go to the United Reformed Church, in Elm Lane, Havant, on May 10 at 2.30pm.
