Portsmouth High School’s Fun on Saturday programme finished with a grand finale of presentations by primary school pupils.

The nine-week programme extended extra curricular opportunities for talented Year 5 students in local schools, who undertook
an array of tasks each weekend.

Pupils from Fernhurst, Milton Park, Northern Parade, Wimborne, St Jude’s, Court Lane, Highbury and St Swithun’s took part in the final weekend.

Dignitaries, including The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Frank Jonas and two Portsmouth High School sixth formers, judged the presentations and awarded prizes to the winning team.

Martha Benford, nine, from Northern Parade and Tia Tulloch-Darroux, nine, from Highbury were in the winning team

Martha said: ‘It’s been really fun because I’ve got to meet lots of different people and had a chance to do different activities.

‘I didn’t expect to win and was really surprised we did.’
