CHILDREN have dressed up in green to raise awareness about caring for the environment.
Pupils at St Swithun’s Catholic Primary School in Taswell Road, Southsea, organised a special day.
Children all came in wearing green and some even dressed up in fancy dress as recycling bins.
They had special assemblies and took part in events such as litter picking.
Allison Partridge, office manager at the school, said: ‘The day went tremendously well.
‘They had a really good day. It was one of the best things we’ve done.
‘They were very excited, they thoroughly enjoyed it.
‘We have got to think about the planet as a whole. It relates to saving energy and looking after the environment.’
