A COLLEGE restaurant is putting reading back on the menu with a tasty discount for library members.

Chimes, run by Highbury College students, is offering 10 per cent off lunch to anyone who holds a Portsmouth library card. The college has signed up to our campaign Read All About It to boost reading across the area. Rachel Smedley, front of house teacher, said: ‘We have a great opportunity to promote reading to our customers.’

Karen Northover, head of foundation learning, added: ‘Our aim this year is to encourage as many students as possible to access the library, read at least one book and write a review.’

The offer ends on June 1.
