STUDENTS have given a community hall a new lease of life.

People on the pre-degree art and design course at South Downs College were asked to design and paint a mural at Anders Hall, Waterlooville.

The creators were told to keep the space vibrant and interesting. Paul Read, chairman of Anders House, said: ‘The comments we received from our visitors and members here at the club have all been fantastic.

‘The artwork really livens up the room, and has turned a boring, plain wall into something of a spectacle.’

Student Ellie Durrant said: ‘the painting of this mural has really given me some valuable and practical experience of how I can use my skills in the real world.’
