A CHILDREN’S charity has opened its second community nursery in Portsmouth.

YMCA offers childcare places for babies and children from four months to five years in Portsea.

It has taken on the lease for the nursery in Union Street, and is welcoming the opportunity to provide childcare to families.

The nursery is already up and running, offering term time options until September, when it will extend its offer to also provide full-time, year round sessions, including free places for those entitled to funded childcare.

The charity also has a nursery on Whale Island, which was recently rated outstanding by Ofsted.
