CHILDREN’S centres in Hampshire are now under new management.

Clusters of Sure Start centres in The News’ region will be managed by children’s charity Action for Children apart from one in Fareham that will be run by a Fareham Community Partnership of schools, the NHS and 4children charity.

Cllr Roy Perry, Hampshire’s education boss, said: ‘In keeping with our promises and commitment to young children the providers will work with us to ensure accessible services for families in need of support continue to be offered at over 80 locations across the county.

‘I am also pleased to see the new providers are planning to exceed the number of front-line workers.’

He added: ‘We can all now look forward with confidence to a bright future for all our children’s centres.’
