A PRE-SCHOOL has been given a big boost after it was provided with essential funding by the council.

Fareham Borough Council awarded St Margaret Mary’s Church in Park Gate with £500 to allow it to buy five new folding tables and a table trolley.

Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of the council, said: ‘I’m really pleased we have been able to assist with funding for new tables at the pre-school.

‘It will allow the children to participate in a wide variety of fun and enjoyable table top activities.’

The total cost of the tables is £1,363.20. The remaining funds will be met by Hampshire County Council fund, and the pre-school will raise the rest.
