Around 800 children from primary schools across Portsmouth took part in pirate-themed musical workshop, which was run by Portsmouth Music Hub.

Sue Beckett, director of Portsmouth Music Hub, said: ‘This was a lively morning with children learning exciting songs as part of story about pirates.

‘The show was extremely interactive and there was even a hornpipe competition.’

Scores of pictures are available from the workshop on the group’s Facebook page ‘Portsmouth Music Hub’ where Mrs Beckett posted her thanks to her helpers and added: ‘Great singing everyone... a show to remember.’
