PEOPLE over the age of 21 and considering doing a degree are invited to pick the brains of staff from departments across the University of Portsmouth.

The open day event tomorrow from 5pm until 7pm will also host a talk by a mature student and a short presentation from the student finance team.

Jodie Meakin, 27, who is in her final year of an undergraduate degree in childhood and youth studies, said: ‘Going on to higher education at university after a long break from education was a scary decision but one I definitely don’t regret. I have thoroughly enjoyed my course and my university experience overall and have made friends for life.’

The event is being held at the university’s Purple Door Information Centre on Guildhall Walk.
