A pirates and fairies garden party has been held to celebrate the success of Fareham’s Play Rangers.

Children between five and 12 turned up to take part in a variety of activities throughout the summer holidays.

And a party was held to mark their success.

Councillor Connie Hockley, executive member for leisure and community, said: ‘Play Rangers summer programme has been a huge success.

‘The feedback from children and parents has been really positive.

‘We hope to welcome them back during October half term when Play Rangers returns.

‘I would like to thank everyone involved especially Y Services for delivering such an excellent range of activities.’

The final week of activities takes place from Tuesday to Friday at locations across the borough.

No booking is necessary. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent or adult carer. Visit for more.
