Petersfield school hold a gig in a church

MUSICIANS from a school in Petersfield filled a London church hall with Baroque to Barbershop.

Youngsters at Bedales School were among 100 staff and pupils from six schools who performed at St Luke’s Church in Chelsea.

The school’s chamber orchestra launched the concert with Handel, which led on to the Bedales Barber Boys singing Swing Low, Sweet Chariot and finally some stunning choral music.

Keith Budge, headmaster, said: ‘Congratulations to our students and the Bedales music department for putting on such a showcase of talent.’

Bedales will next perform at St Luke’s on March 24 at 6.30pm. Admission is free.
