STUDENTS at Portsmouth Grammar School have been wowing the crowds with their version of The Producers.

Pupils aged between 12 and 18 took part in the production at the Kings Theatre in Southsea.

Sally Leigh Filho, director of drama, said: ‘We have had such fun. They are fantastic. A lot of them want to go into professional theatre.

‘We have had so many comments from the audience saying they will remember this for the rest of their lives.’

Ben Schofield, 16, said: ‘It’s a family atmosphere, you know everyone. It’s a really great experience to just have fun together.

‘It’s brilliant taking part – especially in a theatre like the Kings.’
