YOUNG Pompey fans are being invited to take an away trip to support their club – to Thorpe Park.

The Blues have teamed up with the theme park and their away coach provider Vision Travel for the trip, which is due to take place on the final day of the school holidays, Friday, September 2.

Those aged 16 or under will only have to pay £25 for travel up to Thorpe Park and the entry ticket, while those aged 17 and over will have to pay £29.95.

Those who hold an annual pass can pay for coach travel separately, or those who can get to Thorpe Park under their own steam can get a ticket only.

Tickets will be handed out on the coach so there will be no queuing time, or are available to collect from the Vision Travel offices.

Anyone who wears a Pompey shirt on the day will receive a signed player photo.

All profits from the trip will go to the Pompey Study Centre, to help fund its work in the community.

Centre manager Clare Martin said: ‘It’s just a good way to get everyone together for a good day out.

‘I spoke to a lot of parents who said they wanted something to do at the end of the holidays that their kids could look forward to.

‘I have to say a massive thank you to Thorpe Park and Vision Travel, who’ve organised it.

‘They’ve both been brilliant.’
