YOUNG Finnlay Harper was overjoyed to be given the privilege of cutting the ribbon with the help of his mum Malina to declare a new nursery open.

The four-year-old was just one of the children at the opening event for Little Sunbeams pre-school, in partnership with Mayfield School, North End.

Parents and the tots were taken on a tour of the school’s facilities which they can now use for workshops, including PE and cooking equipment and the library.

Manager Isobel Edwards said: ‘The event went very well, it was a huge success.’
