SCHOOLchildren will be recognised for their dedication to promoting road safety.

Pupils have been taking part in the Junior Road Safety Officers project, run by Hampshire County Council and Portsmouth City Council, which sees them speak in assemblies and hold class activities about road safety.

Children from the scheme have been invited to The Champion of Champions event.

Judy Rice, from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: ‘The event is a fabulous opportunity to thank the JRSO officers for their time and commitment to promoting positive road safety messages.’
