YOUNGSTERS have got in the Christmas spirit by making a unique advent calendar.

Pupils at Solent Infant School have been working with Northwood estate agents.

The front window of the firm’s Portsmouth branch in Havant Road has been changed to make room for an entire display to accommodate a festive advent calendar.

Each day will reveal a Christmas drawing created by pupils at the school in Drayton.

Prizes will be given by Northwood to the 24 pupils whose work is used in the window as a special thanks for making a gallery of seasonal fun.

Katie Pearson, from Northwood Property Agents, said: ‘The schools within Drayton have a great reputation which increases the interest on houses within catchment so we like to give something back to the school for enhancing the area.

‘We are proud to support their many fund raising events including their summer and Christmas fayres.

‘It is great fun to be involved with the children and occasions like this where we have the platform to show off the children’s talent which is always incredible.’

It ties in with The News’ Christmas factor. For the festive season, your best Christmas-themed pictures and stories will be featured in The News, while images and videos will also be on our website at portsmouth.co.uk

It could be a Christmas poem or song, pictures and video of your house decked in bright lights or images from a nativity play.
