THIS talented youngster is able to balance being clever with excelling in sports.

Samuel Adie, 11, enjoys playing football, hockey, table tennis and taking part in athletics.

But he also likes challenging himself by solving complicated maths problems.

The St Swithun’s Catholic Primary School pupil won the Curriculum Achievement award.

He said: ‘I’m really happy I won, but was very surprised when I heard my name called out.

‘I love sports and hope to become a sports journalist.’
