THIS time last year Alfie Sedgwick used to skip classes.

He was bullied at school and as a result avoided going. But then the 10-year-old moved to Lyndhurst Junior School, in Crofton Road, North End, and enjoys going to class.

Thanks to the support of teachers he is now a regular at school, which earned him an award in the Attendance category.

Alfie said: ‘I used to be really anxious going to school and would climb over the walls.

‘But I’m much better at this school and now I have friends too.’
