SHE’S a school governor, on the school council board and helps fundraise for several charities.

But shy Tassia Murray, 11, takes it all in her stride.

And this helped the Wimborne Junior School pupil win the Contribution to School Life award.

Tassia has helped raise money for Comic Relief, Children in Need, the RNLI, the Elizabeth Foundation and Help for Heroes. She has also been part of the school council since Year 3.

She said: ‘I like doing things to improve the school and talk about what we can do.

‘I’m really pleased to have won this award, but was very nervous while the nominations were read out.’
