SCHOOLCHILDREN showed off their best singing voices as choirs took to the stage at the Portsmouth Schools Music Festival.

The children performed in front of family and friends throughout the night, showing off their vocal talent.

The festival took place at a packed out Portsmouth Guildhall and featured dozens of youngsters from three different schools.

Music festival leader Sarah Lewis said: ‘It was an amazing night, showing the talent children in Portsmouth have.

‘It’s unique that so many schools from around the community can come together.

‘Young people from the ages of four to 18 are collaborating with people that they wouldn’t necessarily collaborate with.’

The festival has been running all week and drew to a close last night.
