STUDENTS from the University of Portsmouth will cycle all the way round the Isle of Wight to raise money for the RSPCA.

Twenty-two undergraduates plan to set out tomorrow at 9am and take the ferry - free of charge with Wighlink Ferries - and cycle the full 62-mile perimeter of the island. Some will opt for a 15-mile cycle.

Emma Worby, vice-chairman of the student union’s Volunteering in Portsmouth group, said: ‘It will be a pretty big challenge for those of us who haven’t cycled in a while!’
