STUDENTS strutted their stuff in the city centre as they raised money for charity.

Twenty members of the University of Portsmouth Dance Club performed in Guildhall Square in Portsmouth on Saturday in aid of Sports Relief.

And they dazzled the Christmas shoppers as they showed off a range of styles, including hip hop, jazz, break-dancing and contemporary dance.

Group member Sharna Waid, 20, is a second year English and media student. She said: ‘It took a little while to pick up, as we got there at about 11am, but it went really well. We had quite a few people stop and watch what we were doing, we all enjoyed ourselves and we haven’t counted the money yet, but I think we raised quite a lot too.’
