CHILDREN thoroughly enjoy their time at a pre-school in Fareham which has just been awarded a good Ofsted grade.

Happy Faces Pre-School, based at Ranvilles Community Centre, is described as a place where staff plan fun and interesting activities and where a strong relationship with families ensures that every child’s needs are served.

Inspector Michele Beasley said: ‘Everyone shows genuine interest in working as part of a team for the benefit of the children.

‘Staff are skilled at varying the activities to ensure all children are involved and gain the most from what is on offer.

‘All children in the pre-school have fun and are kept very busy. Regular observations are carried out as children play and planned activities are evaluated to assess if learning objectives are met.

‘Next steps for children are identified to inform future planning. This demonstrates staff have good knowledge of children’s unique character.’

There are currently 63 children aged between two and five on the roll.
