Children at a primary school have something new to play on thanks to a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund Awards.

The double log frame climber was installed at Hook-with-Warsash C of E Academy by Pentagon Play Equipment within two days.

The new play area was officially opened by the Mayor of Fareham Cllr Mike Ford and his wife Anne.

Headteacher Sara Willoughby said: ‘We were thrilled to receive this award which has had a big impact on the children’s play-times.

‘We would like to welcome any local groups to the school who would like to use this new play facility.’
