SECONDARY school pupils gathered at Portsmouth’s Mountbatten Centre to learn more about careers in sport and leisure.

Youngsters from Brune Park Community College, Charter Academy, City of Portsmouth Girls, Havant Academy, Henry Cort Community College, Horndean Technology College, Park Community School and Priory School received advice from professionals at the event held by the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Education Business Partnership.

Michael Whitelock, from the Portsmouth Schools Sports Partnership, said: ‘Very often young people have a narrow view of what sport can offer in terms of a career. It is important they know about all the jobs that are available.’
