A Pro Vice-Chancellor from the University of Portsmouth has been honoured as an eminent scholar in the field of international studies.

Professor Pal Ahluwalia received the honour from the International Studies Association (ISA) at a ceremony in New Orleans.

He was recognised in the global development section for being one of the most distinguished scholars in international studies, whose work bridges several disciplines and continents.

Professor Ahluwalia said: ‘I was completely surprised by this award and absolutely delighted. It’s a real honour to have my work recognised and I was very pleased to be able to accept the award.’
