Publishing success for Chichester student

STUDENT Philipa Norman has had her first novel published while still at university.

The 21-year-old has had The Widow’s Redeemer snapped up by a publisher while studying hard for a history degree at the University of Chichester.

The novel is set in 1815 and tells the story of Letty Burton, a widow who travels to London with her mother-in-law, where a chance meeting with the city’s most eligible bachelor sets in motion a series of events that will bring her quiet life under the unfriendly scrutiny of the town.

She said: ‘It’s a period of elegance and yet that elegance is so contrasted with the atrocities of the Napoleonic war at the beginning of the era.’

She has already written another two Regency romance novels.

The book is available now, under the pen name Philippa Jane Keyworth, on Amazon, in both ebook and paperback, through Madison Street Publishing.

You can find out more at philippajanekeyworth.wordpress.com, or by following her on Twitter: @PJKeyworth.
