STUDENTS can take part in a Question Time-style debate as part of Parliament Week.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is supporting the initiative with a series of free workshops for secondary school students.

It runs from Monday, November 19, and allows young people to find out more about their parliamentary democracy and how they can take part in it.

On Friday, November 23, students will be involved in a series of morning workshops that will look at democracy and Parliament across the eras of the Historic Dockyard.

A panel of local MPs will take part in a Question Time debate with an audience of around 250 young people.

Schools wishing to take part or join the debate via Skype can contact Phil Wright on (023) 9289 3316.
