STUDENTS from Purbrook Park School finished on top after being crowned Rock Challenge winners.
The pupils won Friday’s show at Portsmouth Guildhall with their piece I Am The Lorax, I Speak For The Trees. They also received several other awards.
Pupils from Mayfield School took honours for concept, soundtrack, set design and function and costuming character.
The Petersfield School finished in third place.
On Saturday, the show was won by Oak Academy LeAF Campus from Bournemouth.
South Downs College received awards for choreography, performance skill, concept and lighting.
Bridgemary School in Gosport received awards for stage use, concept, entertainment, lighting, stage crew and video performance.
Organiser Stuart McGregor said: ‘We have been proud and blown away at just how much the standard has risen, and the professionalism of the young people continues to grow.’
