YOUNGSTERS from five Portsmouth schools promise to entertain an audience with the sounds of jazz, classical music and choral tunes for a good cause next Saturday.

The Rotary Club of Southsea Castle’s music night at St Jude’s Church in Southsea will present talented student musicians from Mayville High School, Portsmouth Grammar School and St John’s College.

All the money raised will be going to Hands of Love, a locally-run charity working with orphans in Uganda.

Carol Jenkinson, of the Rotary Club, said: ‘There’s a range of pieces to suit many musical tastes.

‘We hope many people turn up to support a worthy cause.’

The event on March 3 starts at 7pm.

Tickets (£6 for adults, free for under-16s) can be bought from schools in advance tickets or on the door.
