A PRIMARY school choir’s debut performance was a big hit and raised hundreds of pounds for worthy charities.

The Craneswater Junior School choir entertained almost 300 visitors at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Southsea – and helped raise £370 for armed forces charity Help for Heroes and Naomi House.

The Reverend Elgan Evans said: ‘The choir gave a performance of exceptional quality. A rousing evening was thoroughly enjoyed.’
