Students from St John’s College in Southsea will share their annual Chinese new year celebrations with children from local schools and nurseries on Monday.

Boarding school students will explain the Chinese calendar to junior school pupils in an assembly.

Then children from Portsmouth High School, St Jude’s Nursery and St John’s College nursery will take part in a lion parade and will make festive crafts.

There will also be a Chinese new year dinner and a performance from the college’s Chinese band.
