FACILITIES at a Titchfield school have been given a boost after it opened a new pond and wildlife area.

Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Dennis Steadman was given the duty to open the area with his wife Carole.

Leader of Fareham Borough Council Cllr Sean Woodward was also present at the opening. He said: ‘It was wonderful. I gave them the grant for it because, even though they are a private school, it will also be of benefit to other schools.’

Although the pond is on West Hill Park School land, children from other schools will be allowed to use it free of charge.
