IF you’ve ever wanted to learn to sew or if you’re in need of brushing up your garment alteration skills, then a school’s evening class will give you that chance.

Portsmouth Academy for Girls, in St Mary’s Road, Kingston, has places available on its sewing courses.

There is pattern cutting on a Wednesday, garment alterations on a Monday, basic dressmaking on a Wednesday and ‘how to use a sewing machine’ sessions on a Monday.

Classes are held from 6.30pm until 8pm, and classes cost £18 for three weeks or £30 for five weeks.
