ADULTS with learning disabilities scooped a silver medal at a mini-Olympics event.
The event was organised by the Sanctuary Carr-Gomm charity, which runs a home for people with learning difficulties in Victoria Square in Lee-on-the-Solent.
Residents at the home travelled to the Prince Philip Barracks in Bordon, Hampshire, to take part in a day of games.
Different homes run by the charity were assigned a country to represent.
Victoria Square was chosen to represent Austria so its residents dressed up as the Von Trapp family.
Home manager Lesley Senior said: ‘Our residents had such a fantastic day.
‘They gave it their all and really deserved their medal. On the way back there were lots of tired but very happy, smiling faces looking back at me.
‘It’s been great for our residents to get to meet people from other homes.’
