A GROUP of children took part in a giant sleepover to raise cash for the Alzheimer’s Society.

More than 100 children from Year 2 to Year 6, from Mayville High School’s Junior School, armed with pyjamas, sleeping bags and teddy bears, raised more than £1,000.

Deputy head Jenny Lewis, said: ‘Some parents were very grateful for a night off, some were going out and didn’t have to worry. One of the parents said it was a great confidence boost for their child to stay overnight.’
