THE founder of a school will be remembered at a moving ceremony.

Members of The Society of Old Priceans will attend the churchyard of St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Osborn Road, Fareham, to lay a wreath in honour of the founder of Price’s School, William Price.

This is an annual act of remembrance for Mr Price who founded the school in Fareham in 1721 and whose support for education continues through the work of the William Price Charity Trust.

All past pupils, teachers and friends of the school and Price’s College are welcome to attend the event, which starts at midday on Sunday, May 31.

After the wreath-laying ceremony, The Society of Old Priceans will hold its annual summer lunch at the Lysses House Hotel starting at 1pm.
