Stargazing nights to be held at university

OVER the next two weeks the University of Portsmouth will be celebrating National Science and Engineering Week with free events.

The week is kicking off on Saturday, March 16 with a
band of science buskers setting out to amaze and enlighten shoppers in Guildhall Square.

Astrophysicists from the University’s Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation will be holding stargazing nights every day for a week in Gunwharf Quays.

People are encouraged to come along, use a telescope, and find out about the night sky.

The event is being held from Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22 from 6.30pm until 8pm outside Bar 38.

To find out about more events and to book a place go to port.ac.uk/aboutus/newsandevents or call (023) 9284 3757.
