YOUNGSTERS got a unique chance to become stars of the big screen when their school video was shown in Guildhall Square in Portsmouth.

In September a group of 11 children from the Victory Primary School in Paulsgrove were filmed burying a time capsule to celebrate the creation of their new school.

And on Thursday the youngsters, who are all between four and 10 years old, went to Guildhall Square to see the film play on the big screen.

They put drawings, music, books and DVDs into the capsule, so that in 20 years children can see what they were enjoying in the past.

The school’s network manager, John Lacey, said: ‘The children were so happy to see themselves on the big screen - it was fantastic.’
