YOUNGSTERS were treated to tales and stories at Gosport’s Discovery Centre.

Children visiting the centre on Saturday took part in a story time reading of books.

It was one of the first new weekend sessions following on from the centre’s popular Wednesday morning story times.

Emma Saunders, 32, of Dock Road, Gosport, took her three-year-old daughter Anastacia to the centre to hear the stories.

Emma said: ‘It was lovely. We are always down there.

‘It’s a chance for the children to enjoy some stories and to know the library.

‘It’s good because it means children can then take home books if they like the stories and it lets them try new things.’

The Discovery Centre, in High Street, runs story time sessions for children under five years old every Wednesday at 2pm.

They also run on Saturday mornings at 11am. Parents and carers must stay with their children and there is no need to book a place.
