MUSIC students at the University of Chichester have organised a fundraising concert in support of a lecturer whose son was diagnosed with leukaemia.

The Sounds of Snowdrops concert for the The Sussex Snowdrop Trust – which provides care at home for children with life-threatening illnesses – has been organised in honour of senior lecturer Alison Woodward and her six-year-old son Miles.

Dr Laura Ritchie, senior music lecturer, said: ‘It really goes to show the sense of community that there is at the university.’

The Sounds of Snowdrops will be held in the chapel at the university’s Bishop Otter Campus on March 29 at 6.30pm. Entry is free, and donations will be collected for the trust.
